The Baduana Ceremony

In the Baduana
ceremony celebrating the ancient
art of batik, masters are
sacrificed to the Gods as an act
of gratitude for the inks and other
materials used in this art form.

One can see that the batik itself is
used to cut off the blood flowing to
the brain of these artful masters.

Interestingly this is self-imposed when
creativity stops flowing to a master, with
the hope that by removing his own
block and stopping the blood flow,
it will naturally move to a Student
of Batik in the tribe.
